How a postbox became the inspiration for our film, Revelations20

The Easter Post Box was conceived during the first Lockdown in 2020. Unable to go ahead with our annual egg hunt activities, we decided this was the best alternative. Everyone was invited to enter a poem, picture or letter to the Easter Bunny who rewarded them with an Easter doorstep treat. The post box was left in the foyer of Bevin Court in perfect condition for a week and we had some brilliant and inspiring entries from residents of all ages. It was the inspiration for our film, Revelations20 which celebrates our caretaker, John Lynch, and shines a light on the strength, trust and creativity of our neighbours. This year’s box was twice as full as last and, thanks to funds raised from Islington Council and from Film Fixer (everyone wants to make films on estates these days), the Bevin Court bunny was able to deliver the goods.

Here are some of our favourite entries. 🐰🐣
