Blueprint Theatre and Film is a small production company. We make theatre, film and exhibitions about, with and for our local communities. Based in the heart of Berthold Lubetkin’s Bevin Court, we live by his motto, Nothing is too good for Ordinary People.

Artistic Directors

 

Mark Rose

Mark studied Theatre Arts at Bretton Hall. He has acted in theatre for 20 years with stints at The National Theatre, The Old Vic and the West End as well as national and international tours. He is a founder member and artistic director of Blueprint.

He helped produce and acted in THIS STORY OF YOURS and WOMEN LAUGHING (Old Red Lion) and FROZEN (Park Theatre) He also worked as a co-producer on EVERY NOW AND THEN, EVERY TIME I THINK OF YOU and LEGACY.

Since 2020 after Blueprint received ACE funding to make REVELATIONS20 which he filmed and co-produced with Sally, Mark has immersed himself in filmmaking. He is interested in documentary and has undertaken steps to learn more about cinematography and editing.

Mark is a member of the prestigious Magic Circle and will spend the coming year working as part of the backstage magic crew on the new Derren Brown production Unbelievable.

Sally Grey

Sally trained at East 15 Acting School and is a founder member and artistic director of Blueprint as well as a writer, actor and facilitator.

She has devised and co-written three plays and three films. She co-produced and wrote the first play to open Islington’s Assembly Hall, EVERY NOW AND THEN, and co-produced and acted in THIS STORY OF YOURS and WOMEN LAUGHING (Old Red Lion), FROZEN (Park Theatre) and LEGACY (RichMix).

Her docudrama film, EVERY TIME I THINK OF YOU (based on Islington’s Chapel Market traders and funded by the Heritage Lottery) premiered at Screen on the Green cinema and is now used as a learning resource, along with Blueprint’s film, REVELATIONS20, set during Lockdown, by Islington Libraries and History Centre.

Her play, Junk, co-written with Susan Avery, was one of four winners of the Writers' Guild Playwrights’ Progress award and their play, LEGACY, premiered at RichMix in 2019.

Sally is running an ongoing program of creative writing workshops in partnership with Islington Council’s Arts on Estates portfolio.

Trustees

 

Kerena Fussell

Kerena has been a trustee of Blueprint since 2011. She is also a campaigner for cleaner air and friendlier streets and is never happier than when she's riding her bike.

Sally Kent

Sally is Head of Press for Objective Media Group, overseeing the corporate communications for the group and its companies, working alongside broadcasters for the promotion of all programmes made by OMG.

Before joining OMG she worked as a publicist for broadcasters and production companies including BBC, Shine TV, Mentorn Media and Discovery Channel. Prior to her career in comms, Sally was a professional actress specialising in new writing, young companies and diverse theatre

Dom Price

Dom is a journalist working in the magazine industry. Before that, he misspent his twenties mapping the coastlines and seabeds of the world in the Royal Navy. He’s a lifelong fan of theatre who has been with Blueprint since the start. He is also a supporter of West Bromwich Albion, and lives in east London with his wife Liz – a Wolves fan.
